Half a year in Canada

Today I am already 6 months in Canada. Since my arrival, I have given goat and alpaca tours as a guide, mucked out stables, been in big cities, but also in nature, went hiking and have simply gained an incredible amount of experience.

This entry is not meant to be long. It should simply give a small review of my time so far.

“Far away you are often damn close to yourself”

– Martin Krengel –

Especially when you travel alone, go alone to a foreign country, you suddenly notice what a small piece you are in a huge puzzle. On my trip I noticed that the whole puzzle only looks good when every piece is in its place. Traveling alone has its advantages, but also disadvantages. Personally, I need the puzzle around me, I need people to surround me, I need to meet people, have fun with them and just enjoy every single second.

Sometimes you feel alone on your journey, but that’s where the little things are that prompt you to keep going, because there are always better times coming.

I am very happy, not only because of the current pandemic in the world and the situation in Germany, that I am here. Sometimes it feels like winning the lottery. Because…

Such a journey shows you who you actually are, what you want to be and how you want to spend your life. Even if I wasn’t “far away”, it would show me who I am, but damn far away, my eyes open even more and I experience myself.
